Warehouse Lead – North Island

Island Operations Manager
Summary
The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day warehouse tasks, while ensuring accurate and seamless processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. The Warehouse Lead will load and unload shipments regularly, with the capability of repetitive heavy lifting, and use any necessary equipment, i.e. forklift, crane, hand jack etc. Other responsibilities include the inspection of incoming and outgoing shipments, consolidation of shipments, and general warehousing upkeep.
This worker must understand the impact of this position to other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of warehouse operations. Inventory management, order picking, and relations with applicable office staff are essential functions for this position. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Job Duties

Work safely and efficiently daily while maintaining a tidy workplace

Follow company safe operating procedures to execute daily tasks and a structured workday

Safely operate a forklift and dock crane
- Physically load and offload land freight, ensuring accuracy of all deliveries
- Physically load and offload scheduled marine freight barges, ensuring accuracy of all deliveries
- As required, physically clean and disinfect inbound farm equipment containing biofouling
- Dispense hydrogen peroxide and propane safely
- Consolidate materials for shipment and pack appropriately for destination
- Match incoming and outgoing product with purchase orders, enter and track in WMS.
- Ensure all incoming freight for warehousing is tagged and inventoried in WMS
- Responsible for maintaining accuracy of all warehouse inventory indoor/outdoor.
- Report any discrepancies to immediate supervisor
- Maintain a safe work environment and contribute to our safety culture
- Ensure shipments contain proper documentation.
- Follow troubleshooting procedures for any cases of missing documents, shipments, and deliveries
- Participate in the Health and Safety program
- Perform other duties as required
