Job description:
Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide care to three clients living permanently in our Just like Home Retreat. Shifts needed are evenings, overnights, every other weekend and occasional day shifts for call ins. Hiring immediately.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide personal care (including, but not limited to: bathing, dressing, changing incontinence products, grooming)
- Provide companionship
- Administer bedside care if needed
- Medication reminders and assistance (staff are to administer medications, ever)
- Housekeeping duties
- Meal preparation
Requirements include:
- Personal Support Worker certificate (for PSW)
- Combined work experience, post secondary education, and training facilitated by a certified PSW (for Health Care Aide)
- 3 years' experience working with individuals living with Dementia and Alzheimer's disease is required
- Additional requirements before employment include Vulnerable Sector Check, clean 3 year driver’s abstract, Food Handler’s certificate
- Being able to endure sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling
Pay
