Shortline Moving Solutions is a fast-growing and dynamic moving, storage and logistics company that believes in employee development within our organization. We are now looking for Class 1 drivers for long haul and short haul positions.
This position is responsible for driving a tractor/trailer unit (class 1F licence required) on trips regionally and throughout Canada. The requirements also include moving, loading, unloading and set-up of furniture and household goods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate a tractor/trailer unit in a safe and efficient manner.
- Complete daily logs/inspections and pre-trip on equipment.
- Lift, carry, and load furniture and personal effects, onto a trailer for transport to and from client locations.
- Deliver and set-up furniture inside client homes, as required/requested within committed time frames.
- Follow established policies and procedures at all times. Demonstrate the ability to protect all furniture from damage through established best practices.
