General Labourer (Seasonal)
Nova Staffing is searching for General Labourers for our client in the Centreville area. These seasonal positions will support operations within a busy blueberry packing facility from approximately July through October.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (hours may vary based on production requirements)
The successful candidates will assist with preparing finished products for shipment and supporting various production and sanitation activities within a fast-paced food processing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy physical work, thrive in a team setting, and are looking for seasonal employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with pre-cooling, grading, packing, and palletizing blueberries
- Prepare finished products for shipment
- Wash trays, assemble boxes, and perform general production duties
- Follow all company GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the facility
- Perform periodic cleanup duties during shifts
- Support quality and food safety requirements
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
- Assist with other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma considered an asset
- Previous production, warehouse, or general labour experience considered an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Flexible and willing to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, twist, and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to safely lift up to 30 lbs using proper lifting techniques
