Junior Draftsman / CAD Technician (Temporary - 2 Month Contract)
Job Summary:
Our client, a leading military defense manufacturing company in London, is seeking a Junior Draftsman / CAD Technician for an immediate full-time temporary opportunity estimated to last approximately 2 months. The successful candidate will support the re-development and updating of facility floor plans using DraftSight 2D and AutoCAD. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-level candidate with strong attention to detail, basic measurement skills, and experience using CAD software in a manufacturing or industrial environment!

Shift Structure:
Day Shift; Monday to Friday
Compensation Structure:
$22.00-$28.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Re-create and update existing facility floor plans using DraftSight 2D and AutoCAD
- Take accurate on-site measurements using tape measures and related tools
- Assist with layout modifications and drafting revisions as required
- Maintain accurate drawing records and documentation
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure floor plans reflect current layouts and specifications
- Ensure drafting work is completed accurately and within project timelines
- Support additional drafting and documentation tasks as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience using DraftSight 2D and/or AutoCAD
- Ability to read and interpret floor plans and technical drawings
- Ability to pass a Controlled Goods Security Assessment
- Comfortable performing manual measurements using a tape measure
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Junior-level candidates are encouraged to apply
