Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations in our wholesale cash & carry and distribution warehouse. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth warehouse operations, accurate inventory control, effective product listing management, and strong client relationships.
This role is hands-on and requires someone who can manage both operational tasks and business development activities in a fast-paced wholesale environment.
You will work closely with management to support growth, improve efficiency, and expand our customer base across retail stores, restaurants, and independent businesses.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Warehouse Management
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse and cash & carry operations
- Ensure smooth order processing, picking, packing, and dispatch
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to maintain efficiency and accuracy
- Support operational improvements and workflow optimization
Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock counts
- Identify low stock, overstock, and fast-moving products
- Assist with purchasing and restocking decisions
- Maintain organized inventory records and reporting
Product Listing & Pricing
- Manage and update product listings across internal systems and online platforms
- Ensure product data accuracy (pricing, descriptions, availability)
- Assist in launching new products and promotions
- Monitor competitor pricing and market trends
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Source and onboard new clients (grocery stores, dépanneurs, restaurants, retailers)
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers
- Respond to client inquiries and support account needs
- Support sales growth through outreach and follow-ups
Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare regular reports on inventory, sales trends, and operations
- Communicate with management on operational issues and opportunities
- Work closely with suppliers, drivers, and internal teams
Qualifications
- Previous experience in operations, warehouse management, retail, or wholesale distribution preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Basic computer skills (Excel, inventory systems, email)
Preferred Skills
- Experience in wholesale, cash & carry, or distribution industry
- Knowledge of inventory or ERP systems
- Sales or business development experience
- Experience managing clients or accounts

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $40,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
