Skilled Carpenter / Finish Carpenter
Location: Kenora, ON (projects throughout the Lake of the Woods region; travel required)

Custom Country Construction is a small, family-run construction company working across Kenora, Ontario, and the beautiful Lake of the Woods region. Our work includes home renovations, new home and cottage builds, commercial renovations, First Nations construction projects, and a wide variety of construction work in real cottage country. Custom Country Construction is hiring a Skilled Carpenter with strong finish carpentry experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the finishing side of the trade and takes pride in seeing a project come together properly. We're looking for someone who can help finish jobs neatly, efficiently, and to a high standard while working as part of a crew.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete finish carpentry work, including trim, doors, cabinetry, millwork, stairs, and detail work
- Work on residential renovations, new homes, cottage builds, and commercial renovation projects
- Help complete the punch-list and finish tasks properly and efficiently
- Perform general carpentry duties as needed across a variety of job sites
- Work as part of a production crew without cutting corners on quality
- Communicate clearly with the owner, crew, and clients when needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful job site
Qualifications
- Proven carpentry experience with hands-on finish work
- Strong skills in trim, doors, cabinetry, millwork, stairs, and detailed finishing work
- Experience in residential renovations and/or new builds
- A steady hand, an eye for detail, and pride in the finished product
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a crew
- Good communication and a team-first attitude
- Honest, reliable, respectful, and hardworking
- Valid driver's licence preferred
Pay and Benefits
- Full-time, permanent work
- Pay: CA$35 - CA$45 per hour, depending on experience
- Overtime availability
- Tools provided or allowance
- Steady projects in Kenora and the Lake of the Woods region
