Hairstylist Position

Responsibilities:
Client Consultation: Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their hair goals, preferences, and expectations.
Provide expert advice and recommendations on suitable hairstyles and treatments based on individual hair types and face shapes.
Haircutting and Styling:Perform a wide range of haircuts and hairstyles with precision and creativity.
Stay up-to-date with the latest hairstyling trends and techniques to offer clients innovative and modern looks.
Hair Coloring and Treatments:Expertly apply various hair coloring techniques, including highlights, balayage, ombre, and traditional color.
Conduct hair treatments such as keratin, deep conditioning, and hair botox, to enhance the health and appearance of clients' hair.
Blowouts and Finishing:Provide exceptional blowouts and finishing touches to complete clients' looks.
Educate clients on maintaining their hairstyles and recommend suitable products for home hair care.
Exceptional Customer Service:Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for clients to ensure a positive salon experience.
Build strong client relationships and maintain a loyal clientele through exceptional service and personalized care.
Salon Maintenance:Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in proper working condition.
Assist in overall salon cleanliness and contribute to a pleasant ambiance for both clients and colleagues.
Professional Development:Stay informed about the latest industry trends, products, and techniques through continuous education and training.
Attend workshops and seminars to enhance hairstyling skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Valid hairstylist license in Alberta.
- Proven experience as a hairstylist, preferably in a salon setting.
- Proficiency in a wide range of hairstyling techniques, haircuts, and coloring methods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Creative flair and passion for hairstyling trends and innovations.
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and occasional evenings.
