Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring that food service operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, handle dishwashing duties, and contribute to a safe and organized kitchen setting. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is a plus but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable kitchen experience and develop skills in food handling, safety, and service.
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly to maintain cleanliness standards
- Assist with meal preparation and food handling under the supervision of kitchen staff
- Support food service operations by organizing supplies and ingredients
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work area in accordance with food safety regulations
- Help with basic food prep tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients as needed
- Ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling materials to uphold hygiene standards
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with cooking, meal preparation, or food handling is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is beneficial
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills related to kitchen operations and food industry standards
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
