Job Summary
BrainLab Psychology Group is a growing multidisciplinary psychology practice providing high-quality assessment and treatment services for children, adolescents, and adults. We are currently seeking an experienced Psychometrist to join our team as an independent contractor.
This position is ideal for a psychometrist who is already comfortable administering and scoring standardized cognitive and academic measures with both children and adults. We are looking for someone who can step into the role with confidence and strong foundational testing skills, without requiring training on core assessment instruments.
This role is mostly in person, typically 1-2 days per week, with an average of 8–15 hours per week depending on caseload and the psychometrist’s availability and interest in taking on additional work.

Pay: $50.00–$55.00 per hour

Responsibilities
- Administer standardized cognitive, academic, and related psychometric measures under the supervision of a registered psychologist
- Score measures accurately and efficiently
- Record behavioural observations during testing sessions
- Maintain organized, thorough, and timely assessment records
- Communicate professionally with adult clients, parents, caregivers, and members of the clinical team
- Ensure assessment materials and testing data are complete and ready for interpretation by the supervising psychologist
- Adhere to all professional, ethical, privacy, and practice standards
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience administering and scoring standardized psychometric measures with both children and adults
- Strong working knowledge of common cognitive and academic assessment tools
- Experience with measures such as the WAIS-IV, WISC-V, WPPSI-IV, WIAT-III/WIAT-4, and similar instruments
- Ability to administer and score core measures accurately and independently without additional training
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and professionalism
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with clinicians
- Previous experience in private practice, hospital, school, or assessment settings is preferred
Additional Requirements
- Comfortable working mostly in person in Ottawa
- Available approximately 2 weekdays per week
- Reliable daytime availability is preferred
