Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the movement of freight, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients. This role requires proficiency in transportation management systems and a strong ability to analyze logistical data to optimize operations.
Duties
- Coordinate daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of freight.
- Utilize SyteLine and other transportation management systems to track shipments and manage schedules.
- Communicate effectively with drivers regarding routes, schedules, and any changes that may arise.
- Analyze shipping and receiving data to identify trends and improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including phone communications and freight details.
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette while interacting with clients, drivers, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure seamless operations from shipping to receiving.
Skills
- Proficiency in transportation management systems is preferred.
- Strong understanding of freight logistics and supply chain processes.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on phone etiquette.
- Ability to analyze data effectively to make informed decisions.
- Experience in shipping and receiving operations is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
