Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment by efficiently washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. This role is vital in supporting our restaurant’s operations and ensuring a smooth dining experience for our guests. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals eager to learn. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in upholding health and safety standards while contributing to the overall success of our establishment.
Duties
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning methods.
- Ensure all items are properly cleaned and stored in designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and surrounding areas throughout the shift.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and cleaning workspaces.
- Support kitchen staff by handling food handling responsibilities in accordance with safety standards when required.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for staff and guests.
- Manage waste disposal efficiently and keep the dishwashing area organized and hygienic.
Requirements
- Previous experience in restaurant, kitchen, or food service environments is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met consistently.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings or weekends if required.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
Pay: $17.60-$18.50 per hour
