The Kenrick Hotel, a luxury boutique hotel in the heart of Banff, is seeking a dedicated, detail-driven Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our team. This role plays a vital part in delivering an elevated guest experience through exceptional cleanliness, thoughtful presentation, and refined service standards.
Eligibility Requirement:
Applicants must have a valid work permit to work in Canada.
Key Responsibilities – Guest Rooms
- Service an average of up to 12 guest rooms per shift, depending on occupancy and operational needs, while consistently meeting The Kenrick’s luxury boutique standards and established sequence of service.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-occupancy environment, balancing productivity with exceptional attention to detail to ensure rooms are guest-ready by scheduled check-in times.
- Perform detailed room cleaning with care and precision, including expert bed making, removal of trash and used linens, replacement of fresh linens, dusting and polishing surfaces, vacuuming and mopping floors, and replenishing amenities to brand standards.
- Restore all furniture and room layouts to their original positions with careful attention to symmetry, staging, and overall presentation.
- Demonstrate discretion and respect when handling guest belongings, including neatly pairing shoes, organizing visible items when appropriate, and safeguarding all personal property.
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest bathrooms, including all horizontal and vertical surfaces, sinks, taps, vanities, tubs, showers, walls, mirrors, floors, and toilets, ensuring a polished and streak-free finish.
- Replenish towels, luxury amenities, and guest supplies in alignment with Kenrick presentation standards.
- Maintain efficient workflow and strong time management while preserving the elevated quality expected in a luxury environment.
- Assist in keeping housekeeping carts and back-of-house areas clean, organized, and stocked to support efficient daily operations.
- Manage removal and proper disposal of waste and recyclables, including transporting materials to designated outdoor collection areas and sorting according to hotel procedures.
- Assist with periodic deep cleaning projects and support cleanliness of public and employee areas as required.
Safety, Maintenance & Team Support:
- Promptly report all maintenance, engineering, health and safety, or security concerns, including unusual sights, sounds, or smells.
- Follow all established cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and health and safety guidelines.
- Respect guest privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Support fellow team members to ensure efficient daily operations and timely room readiness.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous housekeeping and/or guest service experience is required; experience in a luxury or boutique hotel environment is an asset.
- Strong organizational, attention to detail, time-management, and communication skills.
- Highly reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable interacting with guests and responding to basic inquiries in a professional manner.
· Demonstrate basic English speaking and comprehension skills. (optional).
· Willingness to wear the company uniform and name badge.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Physically capable of pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable bending, kneeling, and performing repetitive tasks.
