Location:
We are currently recruiting for a Global Leader, Continuous Improvement to work in our Global Headquarters located in Acton, ON, Canada. Ability to travel internally is required.
About the Role:
Reporting to the President, the Global Leader, Continuous Improvement contributes to the strategic direction and overall performance of manufacturing operations across multiple regions. This role supports the development and implementation of enterprise-wide manufacturing strategies, policies, and programs that drive productivity, efficiency, and long-term operational growth.
The position provides leadership in advancing manufacturing capabilities through the integration of modern production technologies, process innovation, and continuous improvement practices. Working closely with executive leadership, the role informs decision-making related to capital investment, operational expansion, and long-term manufacturing planning across global operations.
Superior Glove operates facilities in Point Leamington and Springdale, Newfoundland, New York, Honduras, Mexico, and Acton, Ontario, where our headquarters and strategic leadership are based. The successful candidate will be based in Acton and must be able to travel regularly to coordinate operations across regions and support ongoing expansion initiatives.
Responsibilities:

Contribute to the establishment of organizational manufacturing objectives and the development and implementation of policies and programs across global operations.

Coordinate manufacturing and engineering activities across regions and facilities to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and performance goals.

Provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership on capital investments, operational expansion, and long-term manufacturing planning.

Support the allocation of material, human, and financial resources to implement manufacturing strategies and achieve business objectives.

Participate in enterprise-level planning related to production capacity, automation strategy, and operational scalability.

Oversee and guide continuous improvement initiatives across multiple facilities to enhance productivity, efficiency, and product quality.

Direct and support operational leaders to ensure consistent implementation of manufacturing standards and performance expectations.

Contribute to capital equipment planning and investment decisions to support growth and modernization of manufacturing operations.

Represent the organization in discussions with external partners, vendors, and stakeholders related to manufacturing operations and innovation.

Support organizational planning initiatives, including workforce development and capability building across manufacturing teams.
Qualifications & Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business or Science, or equivalent education, and applied work experience in a manufacturing engineering environment.

Formal education with manufacturing concepts – 5S, lean, JIT, Kaizen, ISO standards, etc.

Lean manufacturing experience is required; Six Sigma Master certification would be considered an asset.

Glove manufacturing experience required, including 7 years of progressive experience leading a team in a growing manufacturing non-unionized environment.

Five years' experience in process optimization, operations, or business management.

Operations and Project Management experience. New start-up practical hands-on experience would be considered an asset.

Previous experience with glove knitting technology and glove dipping automation is a must.

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the applications, features, and systems for glove knitting and glove dipping technologies to improve efficiency and deliver business results.

Textile or apparel manufacturing formal education would be an asset. Previous experience and knowledge of natural and synthetic fibers, and coatings (eg. Latex, PVC, silicone, etc.) would be an asset.

Excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at all levels.
