This job opportunity is just for those tutors who can commit to in-person sessions for at least 3-4 hours a week. You need to have a valid work permit in Canada to apply for this job.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or group tutoring sessions to students of various ages and educational backgrounds
- Assess students' strengths and weaknesses to identify areas for improvement
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Communicate with parents and teachers to provide updates on student performance
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and resources to engage students and enhance learning
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment
Skills:
- Experience working with students in a classroom or tutoring setting
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to establish rapport with students
- Familiarity with adult education, special education, preschool, childcare, or early childhood education is a plus
- Experience working with children is highly desirable
