Position Summary
The Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while following transportation regulations and company procedures. The role includes vehicle operation, delivery coordination, and maintaining accurate transportation records.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to transport goods according to assigned routes and schedules.
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips to identify maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and required transportation documentation.
- Coordinate with dispatch teams regarding routes, delivery updates, and operational requirements.
- Load and unload cargo while following safe handling procedures.
- Monitor vehicle conditions and report mechanical issues when identified.
- Follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and company transportation procedures.
- Complete required documentation for deliveries and vehicle inspections.
- Support efficient delivery operations by communicating changes or delays.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle environment.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s licence appropriate for the assigned truck class.
- Experience operating commercial vehicles.
- Knowledge of transportation safety regulations and road safety procedures.
- Ability to complete delivery documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to safely load, secure, and transport cargo.
- Basic understanding of vehicle inspections and maintenance reporting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers.
- Ability to work independently while following assigned routes and procedures.
Pay: $95,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
