The company
A popular multi-location cafe and dessert brand serving discerning customers who value quality, convenience, and a premium experience. As we continue to expand, we are looking to fill a key leadership role at our flagship location in Toronto.
The team
We are a driven, close-knit, and genuinely caring team that never stops experimenting, refining, and finding ways to enjoy the work along the way. You'll thrive here if you:
- Care deeply about the customer experience and take satisfaction seriously
- Hold yourself to a high bar and sweat the details
- Bring an entrepreneurial mindset and aren't afraid to take initiative
The opportunity
As Front of House Manager, you'll have a rare chance to shape a growing business from the ground up and leave a real mark on where it goes next. If you think like an owner and want to build something rather than simply run it, you'll feel right at home here.
This role comes with full ownership of our front of house, not just how it performs day to day, but how it evolves over time. You'll inherit some structure to build on, but the expectation is that you'll challenge it, sharpen it, and make it your own.
The work centers on five key areas:
1. Team
- Own the front of house end to end. The team, the experience, and the results
- Lead, hire, schedule, and coach a front-of-house team of 3 to 6+ people
- Own onboarding and training on service standards, policies, and company guidelines
- Set tone and expectations as front-of-house leader and primary brand representative
- Drive collaboration across multiple teams (office, back of house, and operations)
2. Customer experience
- Deliver a best-in-class, high-touch guest experience worthy of a premium product
- Manage orders across all our platforms (in-store, pickup, delivery, online)
- Handle requests and complaints with warmth and judgment, turning issues into loyalty
- Support customer communications across multiple channels (in store, phone, emails, messages)
- Work closely with our back office team to develop the systems and tools needed to track customer satisfaction and improve the in-store experience
3. Growth, events & sales
- Take direct ownership of front-of-house sales and drive results
- Design and execute events focused on increasing foot traffic, sales, and community building
- Champion new product launches at the counter and influence what we sell next
- Develop lessons learned that can be shared across different locations and distribution channels
4. Product & marketing
- Manage seasonal menus, including food costing, pricing, and recipe development for new drink offerings
- Collaborate with the kitchen on new products, recipes, menu planning, and costing
- Work with suppliers and the office team to source a wide range of products
- Play a supporting role in our social media and marketing efforts
5. Operations & systems
- Build, improve, and implement standardized processes across all aspects of front-of-house operations, in line with the company's goals and vision
- Manage inventory, ordering, records, and store presentation
- Own health & safety standards for the front-of-house team
- Manage upkeep, presentation, and maintenance of front-of-house areas and equipment
- Support across other areas as needed and during peak periods
Who you are

- Has proven experience (2+ years) managing a bakery, cafe, or premium F&B operation
- Genuinely enjoys the day-to-day "craft" and being in the thick of the action
- Shows a strong entrepreneurial spirit and is excited to improve systems and processes
- Is a natural, charismatic presence with both the team and customers
- Is organized, detail-driven, customer-focused, and hands-on
