Metal Rolling, Bending and Fabrication Services

Established in 1974, Kubes Steel Inc. is a growing, internationally renowned industrial custom steel fabrication, steel rolling and bending company operating unique world-class equipment. We serve energy, resources, primary metals, marine, construction, architectural, and environmental industries.
We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Outside Sales – Industrial professional to join our team. We are looking for a driven, professional, and technically minded sales individual with experience in industrial manufacturing, fabrication, steel, or metal-related sales.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong customer service skills, the ability to generate new business, expand existing accounts, and meet sales goals in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Generate new business growth in metal rolling, bending, fabrication, and related industrial services.
- Develop, manage, and expand customer relationships within assigned markets and territories.
- Identify new sales opportunities within the industrial, manufacturing, construction, energy, marine, architectural, defense and primary metals sectors.
- Interact with and expand existing customer business.
- Work closely with internal estimating, project management, production, and management teams to support customer needs.
- Provide sales forecasts, analysis, and sales budgets in keeping with sales projections.
- Provide market analysis, justification, and strategy for target markets.
- Support marketing initiatives and promotional material to attract potential customers.
- Represent Kubes Steel Inc. professionally at trade shows, industry events, client visits, and customer appreciation activities.
- Maintain accurate records of customer communications, sales activity, quotations, and follow-up.
- Conduct business in a professional, ethical, and customer-focused manner.
Requirements
- Previous outside sales experience in an industrial, manufacturing, steel, fabrication, metal rolling, bending, or related technical sales environment.
- Technical knowledge or experience in the metals industry is considered a strong asset.
- Sales experience involving bending, rolling, fabrication, or custom metal products is preferred.
- Degree, diploma, certificate, or equivalent experience in Sales, Marketing, Business, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Self-starter with excellent customer sales and service skills.
- Strong ability to develop new business and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Ability to work in a team environment while interacting with estimating, project management, production, and management staff.
- Professional business practice when interacting with customers, employees, suppliers, and industry contacts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical and non-technical information.
- Professional, organized, and detail oriented.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general CRM or sales tracking systems.
- Valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle, and ability to travel as required.
Preferred Experience
- Industrial outside sales: 3 years – 10 years
- Metal rolling, bending, fabrication, steel, or manufacturing sales: 1 year
- Technical sales or estimating experience: 1 year
Required License/ Certification/Education
- A degree or diploma from University/College in Commerce, Business or Engineering considered and asset.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Professional Designations considered an asset.
Compensation
$60,000 to $80,000, with potential of commissions based on the ability to excel and develop the position.
