Excellence Imperial Career College (EICC) is seeking a dynamic and experienced / Clinical Instructor to lead, support, and empower PSW students through hands-on clinical training and real-world learning experiences.

Your Impact
As a Clinical Educator/instructor, you will play a vital role in bridging theory and practice, ensuring students meet the NACC PSW Program Standards while delivering safe, ethical, and person-centered care.
You will:
- Lead and supervise PSW students during clinical placements
- Deliver hands-on training in essential care skills, procedures, and safety practices
- Coach and mentor students to build confidence, critical thinking, and professionalism
- Evaluate performance and provide meaningful, constructive feedback
- Promote excellence in care aligned with best practices and industry standards
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Collaborate with Long Term Care and community partners, faculty, and program leadership to ensure student success
- Serve as a liaison between EICC, placement sites, and students
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and evaluate students during clinical placements in LTC settings
- Evaluating clinical competencies using rubrics or checklists
- Providing formal and informal feedback
- Provide real-time coaching, daily check-ins, and skills supervision
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and ethical care standards
- Complete student evaluations, attendance tracking, and progress reports
- Address performance or safety concerns promptly and professionally
- Participating in curriculum feedback and improvement
- Maintains accurate student attendance and evaluation records
- Support the development of clinical judgment and problem-solving skills
- Participate in student orientation, faculty meetings, and program improvement initiatives
- Reporting concerns about attendance, performance, or conduct
- Model excellence in communication, documentation, and resident-centered care
Required Qualifications:
- Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Minimum 2-4 years of recent clinical experience (preferably in Long-Term Care or community settings)
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Current CPR/First Aid, Vulnerable Sector Check, and TB screening
Assets:
- Minimum 2–4 experience teaching or supervising students in a clinical environment
- Strong understanding of adult education principles
- Familiarity with NACC PSW curriculum standards
- Strong research skills to stay current with medical advancements and incorporate evidence-based practices into training modules.·
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and healthcare documentation systems
- Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS), particularly Moodle, to support teaching and learning
