At Edmonton Inn & Conference Centre, we are looking for a friendly, professional, and guest-focused Guest Service Agent to join our Front Office team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you play an important role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring every guest feels valued from check-in to check-out.
This is a full-time position that includes a variety of shifts, including weekdays, weekends, mornings, evenings, and mid-shifts.

Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, the Guest Service Agent is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the front desk.
You will welcome guests with professionalism and warmth, assist with reservations and guest inquiries, handle check-ins and check-outs accurately, and help create a positive and memorable stay for every guest.
Successful candidates are adaptable, dependable, team-oriented, and passionate about hospitality.
- Welcome guests in a professional, friendly, and engaging manner
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the guest experience
- Check guests in and out accurately and efficiently
- Handle reservations, room changes, and guest requests using the hotel PMS system
- Respond professionally and effectively to guest concerns or issues
- Utilize up-selling techniques to maximize guest satisfaction and hotel profitability
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk environment
- Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and leadership
- Follow all front office policies, procedures, and Nova Hotels standards
- Report maintenance, safety, security, or suspicious concerns promptly
- Assist teammates and support overall front office operations as needed
- Participate as a member of the hotel Health & Safety team
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- High School Diploma required
- Post-secondary education or hospitality training is considered an asset
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is considered an asset
- Experience using a PMS, POS, or switchboard system is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving and guest service abilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer and telephone skills
- Positive attitude with the ability to remain professional under pressure
- Dependable, flexible, and able to work varied shifts
- Team-oriented with a willingness to support others
- Knowledge of the local community and attractions is considered an asset
- Long periods of sitting with occasional standing and walking
- Occasional bending, crouching, or lifting up to 10 lbs
- Extended periods working on a computer and telephone
This role operates in a busy front desk environment with regular interaction with guests, visitors, and team members. Guest Service Agents must be comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality setting and handling situations with professionalism and confidence.
