Job Summary
West Valley Farm (Codroy Valley, NL) is hiring an experienced Dairy Herdsman to oversee approximately 400 Heifers. This is a full-time, year-round position starting May 2026.
Responsibilities
- Dairy herd care and animal welfare
- Artificial Insemination (AI) breeding and reproductive management
- Monitor herd health, feeding, and performance
- Operate tractors, skid-steer and farm equipment
- Drive pickup trucks and cattle hauler between farming facilities
- Maintain accurate herd and breeding records
Qualifications
- Prove dairy or livestock management
- AI Breeding experience (REQUIRED)
- Comfortable with farm machinery
- Valid Drivers License
- Canadian Citizen
- Able to work independently
- References Required
