BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying, developing, and driving future growth opportunities for Stonz. This role focuses on strategic sales planning, market expansion, key account development, international growth, sales analytics, and bringing market intelligence back into the business.
Rather than managing day-to-day sales execution, this role looks outward—identifying where Stonz should grow next, building strategic partnerships, and ensuring the company is positioned for long-term success.
We are looking for someone who is commercially curious, humble, collaborative, easy to work with, and excited by building businesses. They have an entrepreneurial mindset, thrive on solving problems, and embraces new technology. Works hand in hand with Sales Manager.
Primary Responsibilities Sales Strategy, Planning & Execution
- Develop annual and seasonal wholesale sales strategies.
- Create territory and channel growth plans.
- Establish sales priorities and growth initiatives.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure sales strategies align with company objectives.
- Monitor progress against strategic goals and recommend adjustments.
Business Development
- Identify new wholesale opportunities across North America.
- Research and evaluate new distribution channels.
- Develop strategic partnerships that drive long-term growth.
- Identify whitespace opportunities by geography, product category and customer type.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of future opportunities.
Key Account Management
- Lead relationships with Stonz’ largest and most strategic retail partners.
- Develop long-term account growth plans.
- Negotiate commercial agreements.
- Support the annual business reviews.
- Support in Iidentifying opportunities to expand product assortment and market presence.
Worldwide Distribution
- Identify and recruit international distribution partners.
- Evaluate new global markets.
- Support distributor onboarding and long-term business planning.
- Expand the Stonz brand internationally.
Marketing Opportunity Development
- Identify retail and consumer opportunities requiring marketing support.
- Bring market insights and customer feedback to the Marketing & Brand team.
- Recommend promotional opportunities that support sales growth.
- Help align marketing investments with commercial priorities.
Sales Analytics & Business Intelligence
- Analyze sales performance, market trends and customer profitability.
- Identify opportunities through data analysis.
- Support forecasting and strategic planning.

Experience
- 3-5 years of Business Development Experience. (Experience in kids wear or footwear sector is an asset).
- Effective planning, analytics, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with buyers.
- Understanding of U.S. children's wear market dynamics is an asset.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Pay: $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
