Employees of Skeetchestn Natural Resources LLP are integral members of an incredible team and representatives of the Skeetchestn community. Reporting to Management, the Information Technology (IT) Support & Data Management Coordinator is responsible for supporting all office technology systems, troubleshooting computer and software issues, maintaining secure data management practices, and supporting data sharing requirements across all SNR departments.
Core responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day technical support for all office staff regarding computers, printers, software, internet, email, and Microsoft Office systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and user-access issues in a timely manner.
- Support Microsoft Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, cloud-based systems, and digital collaboration tools (Fulcrum and Avenza).
- Assist with setup, maintenance, upgrades, and inventory tracking of computers, tablets and office technology equipment.
- Maintain secure digital filing systems, backup procedures, and information storage practices.
- Create, implement, support all internal and external data sharing requirements in accordance with approved agreements and confidentiality standards.
- Assist with data management practices including organization, storage, retention, and accessibility of company information.
- Provide onboarding and offboarding technology support for employees.
- Coordinate with external IT providers and software vendors when required.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding organizational, employee, community, and Band-related information.
- Perform all responsibilities and duties in accordance with SNR Policies and Procedures.
- Supporting implementation of OCAP® principles and Indigenous data sovereignty requirements.
- Supporting Data Sharing Agreements (DSAs) and data access controls.
- Managing data repository permissions based on SNR data governance policies.
- Maintaining data archiving and retention procedures.
Qualifications, education and experience
- Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Systems, Network Administration, or related field is preferred.
- Minimum 1–5 years experience in IT support, systems administration, or office technology support; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and cloud-based systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication.
- Understanding of cybersecurity systems, secure information handling, and confidentiality practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Requirements & abilities:
- Knowledge of Indigenous community is an asset.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical staff.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of data sensitivity, information governance, and secure file management.
- Ability to maintain professionalism while supporting multiple departments.
- Ability to adapt to changing technology systems and organizational needs.
