Job Summary:
Berryhill is a Blueberry and Raspberry Processing company. We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Seasonal Quality Control Tech to join our production team as soon as possible. This role is essential to maintaining smooth operations during the production shift by ensuring materials and products are processed efficiently and safely. QC Tech's are responsible for sampling fruit and making sure it meets costumer specifications. The ideal candidate will be dependable, food safety-conscious, and ready to contribute to a fast-paced production environment.
Schedule:
- 5-6 days per week
- Hours vary based on product volumes and range anywhere between 7am-7pm
- Employee must be able to work weekends
Responsibilities:
- Follow company policies and procedures set by management team.
- Continually pull fruit samples as per customer specifications and ensure each sample makes grade.
- Inform QC Supervisor of any deviations that accrue during sampling.
- Visually inspect fruit on the product line prior to each sample; Notify QC Supervisor if fruit appears to be of a lesser grade then what is required by customer being processed.
- Ensure all production workers within the processing area are correctly wearing required hairnets and gloves and following all required GMPs.
- Report any observed or potential food safety problems to the QC Supervisor or Chargehand.
Requirements:
- Experience working in food safe environments is preferred but not required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
