Responsibilities:
- Operating porter/forwarder to collect merchantable wood and piling roadside
- Maintain productivity and utilization targets, and work independently in remote environments.
- Maintain the cleanliness of equipment-completion of daily checklists (ie. inspection, cleaning & maintaining equipment)
- Follow all employer policies, including dress code, driving, cellular phone use, Health, and Safety
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task;
Requirements:
- 3 years experience as a harvester operator
- Must have a clean driver abstract
- 50+ hours a week
- Mechanical knowledge and skills considered an asset
- Travel to and from block with company vehicle
- Resolve any issues brought forward and problem solve for solution
- Knowledge of tree species
- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures
