Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based ABA therapy sessions tailored to each child's unique needs, utilizing reinforcement strategies and behavior modification techniques
- Collect, record, and analyze data on client progress to inform treatment adjustments and ensure therapy effectiveness
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and team members to develop and update individualized treatment plans
- Support children in developing communication, social, daily living, and adaptive skills through engaging activities
- Administer medication as prescribed by medical professionals while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation of session notes, progress reports, and behavioral observations in compliance with regulatory standards
- Ensure a safe, supportive environment that encourages positive interactions and minimizes challenging behaviors
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in educational, clinical, or caregiving settings is highly valued
- Knowledge of special education practices and familiarity with behavioral intervention strategies
- Ability to administer medication safely following prescribed guidelines
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and medical terminology relevant to pediatric populations
- Excellent data collection skills for tracking behavioral progress and therapy outcomes
- Compassionate communicator with the ability to build trusting relationships with children and families
- Certification or training in ABA techniques is preferred but not required; ongoing professional development is encouraged
