Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport freight and goods to designated locations.
- Ensure all freight is secured properly before transit to prevent damage during delivery.
- Navigate routes efficiently, adhering to traffic laws and delivery schedules.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance to ensure optimal operation.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of freight, including heavy or bulky items.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status or issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
- Conduct minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting if necessary to ensure vehicle readiness.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts, heavy equipment, or other machinery is a plus.
- Knowledge of automotive repair or troubleshooting is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely, including freight and equipment.
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to safety protocols at all times.
- Prior experience operating large vehicles or heavy machinery is preferred but not required; training will be provided if needed.
