Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including pediatrics, assisted living, and home care. The RN will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and ensuring the effective administration of medications while maintaining a safe and supportive environment for patients and their families.
Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ health status and medical histories.
- Develop individualized care plans based on patient assessments and collaborate with healthcare teams.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to meet changing needs.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately in electronic health records (Epic).
- Support patients with activities of daily living in settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
- Offer specialized care for seniors, including those with dementia or chronic illnesses.
- Participate in case management activities to coordinate comprehensive care for patients.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of patient care principles and practices.
- Experience in pediatrics, senior care, or home care settings is preferred.
- Proficient in medication administration and understanding of pharmacology.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Epic.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Compassionate approach to caring for patients with diverse needs, including dementia care.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
