We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse operations, including order picking, packing, shipping, storing or unloading various materials either by hand or with the use of machinery and may also be required to operate a forklift or other machinery to unload very heavy items. Their duties include unloading equipment, storing equipment, and moving and transporting materials.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently
- Manage order picking, packaging, and order fulfillment processes to ensure accurate and timely delivery
- Assist with shipping & receiving activities, including verifying shipments and maintaining inventory accuracy using warehouse management systems
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks and handle materials in accordance with safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse to promote a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse operations and improve workflow efficiency
Experience
- Prior experience working in a warehouse distribution environment is preferred
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, or order pickers is highly desirable
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, order picking, packaging, and load & unload operations is beneficial
