Job description
Urban Life Solutions is looking for a skilled Landscape Construction Foreman to lead crews of up to 4 people on construction projects while also supporting our snow and ice management operations through the winter season. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone experienced in both landscape construction and equipment operation. The right candidate will be comfortable working outdoors year-round, direction crews, and ensuring projects and winter operations run smoothly and safely. This position is hands on; you will be required to work alongside your crew on the projects that are being completed.
Responsibilities
- Lead and work alongside crews on landscape construction projects (hardscape, softscape, grading, planting)
- Operate skid steers and other equipment for both construction and snow removal
- Supervise and assign daily tasks to crew members, ensuring quality and efficiency
- Manage on-site safety, organization, and workflow
- Perform snow clearing, sanding, and salting during the winter season
- Communicate with Superintendent on project and site updates
- Train and mentor team members in both construction and winter operations
- Planting trees, shrubs, perennials and willow staking, among other landscape remediation type tasks
- Overseeing FLHA's and completing equipment pre and post trip inspections
Basic/Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape construction (foreman or lead hand preferred)
- Valid Driver’s Class 5 Driver's License (minimum) and clean abstract
- Strong skid steer operation skills: snow removal experience required
- Skilled use of common hand and power tools
- Ability to complete measurements and mathematical calculations
- Ability to maintain simple records and make verbal reports
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Ability to take direction, give direction, learn and work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
- Physically demanding role: must be able to life, carry, push, and pull up to 100lbs
- Outdoor work in a variety of weather conditions (heat, rain, snow, ice)
- Hands-on work with tools, equipment, and machinery

Pay: $26.00-$35.00 per hour
