Overview:
You will be expected to lead a team of one or two apprentices depending on the task.
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in various carpentry tasks and a strong attention to detail.
Duties:
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard
- Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and other materials
- Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications
- Select and evaluate materials for defects
- Perform general maintenance tasks as needed
Experience:
**Red Seal considered a Strong asset
- Proven experience as a Carpenter
- Proficiency in siding installation, flooring installation, renovations, decks, and restoration work
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Familiarity with hand tools and carpentry equipment
- Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship
- Knowledge of installation techniques
- Proficiency in using hand tools for carpentry projects
