Required Qualifications:
One year related post secondary certificate required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:
One - Two years’ experience in medical / surgical acute care setting – or equivalencies will be considered, such as a recent satisfactory completion of an acute care practicum in surgery. Certification from a recognized training program which includes a practicum component. Successful completion of medical terminology course. Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel, and Outlook. Minimum 35 WPM typing ability. Proven understanding of medical tests including diagnostic imagining, medical procedures and surgical operations. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods, occasionally walk short distances, lift up to 5 kg (8-11 pounds). Ability to spend majority of time in front of computer. Working knowledge of eFacilities, Oracle, supply procurement, ePeople, WFM, NetCARE, Connect Care.
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent communication and organizational skills an asset. Drive to improve unit operations through quality projects an asset.
