**Experience with Canadian bookkeeping, payroll, HST, CRA remittances, reconciliations, and accounting software is required.**
We are a family-owned and operated business in the building industry looking for a conscientious, thorough, fast learning, and organized individual to assist with the day-to-day accounting operations of our facilities.
Requirements the candidate MUST have:
1) Three years of retail, manufacturing or other for-profit industry accounting experience
2) Thorough working knowledge of Sage Simply, Quick Books or similar Accounting software
3) A permanent resident or citizen of Canada
The candidate will be responsible for all of the accounting information input including:
- receivables and payables
- purchasing
- sales
- banking
- deposits
- ensuring all statements are accurate
- managing customer accounts and collections
- organizing, maintaining, and accurately filing all financial records and sales documents
- assisting in inventory control, stock counts and adjustments
- monthly and year end filings up to and including submission to accounting firm
- reconciliations
- establishing and maintaining internal controls
- developing reporting standards for future use within the organization
- Preparing audit reports
- Preparing financial documents for the government, the organization or other governing bodies
- Other administrative tasks assigned by management

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $44,000.00-$56,000.00 per year
