About the Opportunity
We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Janitor for an established, safety-first manufacturing environment.
This is a full-time opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized facility and is comfortable assisting with minor repairs and general facility upkeep.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness across several areas of the facility while also assisting with basic repairs and general upkeep as needed.
This position is best suited for someone who is reliable, attentive to detail, safety-forward, comfortable working in an active facility, and able to adjust priorities as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain washrooms, offices, common areas, production spaces, and other assigned areas
- Complete routine janitorial and facility cleaning duties
- Perform minor repairs and basic maintenance tasks
- Assist with wall patching, touch-up painting, fixture adjustments, and similar work
- Monitor assigned areas for cleanliness, maintenance, and safety concerns
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- Report larger repair requirements or safety issues to the appropriate supervisor
- Support different areas of the facility as operational needs change
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial, commercial cleaning, or industrial cleaning experience
- Experience completing minor repairs or light facility maintenance
- Able to work independently and manage assigned responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
- Physically able to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Available to work Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Willing and able to complete a criminal background check as part of the hiring process
Preferred Experience
Experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, production, or industrial environment is considered an asset.
