ACCOUNTING ADMIN ASSISTANT

This role supports our Finance team with day-to-day administrative and accounting activities and contributes to the accuracy, efficiency, and organization of our general operations.
Key responsibilities include:
· Providing general administrative support to the Finance team, including general office duties
· Assisting with shared mailbox support and follow-up
· Supporting accounts payable activities
· Providing data entry and administrative support for payroll processes
· Coordinating IT‑related administrative tasks, such as submitting IT requests and tracking status details
· Ensuring office and shared spaces remain tidy, organized, and properly stocked with supplies
· Maintaining files, records, and documentation in an organized, audit‑ready manner
· Supporting continuous improvement of administrative and finance processes
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the ideal candidate will be highly organized and works best in a busy environment while managing multiple priorities. In addition to strong administration skills and accounting acumen, the successful candidate will contribute positively to a collaborative and professional workplace culture.
Desired qualifications and attributes include:
· 2+ years of administrative and/or accounting support experience
· Certificate and training in Administration, Accounting or a related field
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint; experience with QuickBooks or other financial systems is an asset
· Strong accuracy and data entry skills
· Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
· High level of discretion with confidential information
· Commitment to continuous learning, initiative and stewardship
· Approachable, self-aware and comfortable communicating internally and externally while maintaining a professional approach in both one-to-one and group settings
· Motivated self-starter who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team
