We are seeking a licensed Industrial Electrician (442A or 309A) to join our Maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving electrical systems on industrial corrugated converting machinery and production equipment. The successful candidate is a safety-focused, reliable professional with strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to minimizing downtime in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues on corrugated converting machinery and production equipment.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on electrical systems, motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, and control panels.
- Install, test, maintain, and modify electrical equipment and components.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with millwrights, production personnel, and the maintenance team to resolve equipment issues.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable electrical codes, company policies, and health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario 442A Industrial Electrician or 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician Certificate of Qualification (required).
- Minimum 2 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting motors, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, relays, and industrial control systems.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize work independently.
- Commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement.
Working Conditions
- Night Shift (10-hour shifts)
- Overtime as required
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs., and work around industrial machinery.
