Position Summary
RBG Security is currently hiring Full-Time Overnight Tactical Security Guards, Part-Time Overnight Security Guards, and Part-Time Day Security Guards.
The ideal candidate will be professional, dependable, customer-service oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-based environment. Candidates should have previous experience in customer service and/or de-escalation and be confident handling situations calmly and professionally.
Available Positions Full-Time Overnight Security Guard
- Full-time overnight opportunities available
- Schedule will be based on site requirements
- Must be available to work overnight shifts, including weekends as required
Part-Time Overnight Security Guard
- Part-time overnight opportunities available
- Flexible scheduling based on site requirements
- Must be comfortable working independently during overnight operations
Part-Time Day Security Guard
- Part-time daytime opportunities available
- Must be available to work assigned day shifts
- Must be comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
Pay
- $18.06/hour during the 3-month probationary period
- $19.74/hour after successful completion of probation
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Previous customer service experience
- Previous de-escalation experience is required or strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong report-writing abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Previous commercial, condominium, office tower, or corporate security experience is an asset
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned premises to maintain safety and security
- Control access to the property and verify credentials
- Provide professional and courteous customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and staff
- Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns
- Use effective de-escalation techniques when dealing with challenging situations
- Maintain a professional and visible security presence
- Complete detailed daily activity and incident reports
- Enforce company and site-specific policies and procedures
- Monitor CCTV and other security systems
- Report hazards, maintenance concerns, and suspicious activity
- Conduct interior and exterior patrols
- Assist tenants and visitors with general site-related concerns
- Coordinate with emergency services when required
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and site management
