Primary Purpose of Position:
VPCL is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and loaders. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with a passion for ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Job Duties
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on heavy equipment and attachments to ensure operational efficiency.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform repairs as needed.
- Disassemble and reassemble heavy equipment components and systems.
- Perform inspections to identify worn and damaged parts that need replacement.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Utilize diagnostic software and tools to aid in troubleshooting.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and team members to complete projects on time.
