We are seeking a highly-organized, motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Support Clerk to join our team.
The successful candidate will have previous administrative experience and possess exceptional organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to accuracy and quality. Transportation industry experience is required. We are looking for an individual who is eager to learn, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can work independently with minimal supervision while contributing as part of a collaborative team.
This position provides administrative support to our Customer Service, Customs, Dispatch and Safety and Compliance departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and timely data entry.
- Provide administrative support to our Dispatch team by notifying customers of driver delays and setting delivery or pickup appointments.
- Assist the Safety & Compliance department with daily administrative functions.
- Prepare reports and maintain tracking spreadsheets.
- Maintain organized and accurate records and documentation.
- Perform general administrative duties and provide support to other departments as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, quality work.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize competing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing effectively within a team.
- Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy.
- Experience with Customs Clearance processes (ACE/ACI) is considered an asset.
Non-negotiable core competencies:
- Three to five years of prior experience in the transportation sector, including in-depth knowledge of transportation management databases.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional and service oriented
- Proven analytical, problem solving, decision-making and relationship building skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment in both a team and individual environment.
- Previous experience with Truckmate software.
- Ability to attend work punctually and consistently.
