General duties:
As a member of a professional and growing real estate management company, you will be responsible to prioritize, coordinate, and organize business tasks. You will have a positive, professional approach in planning, scheduling, communicating, and organizing the activities of your position. You will work for Senior Management, and as such, must be able to develop an understanding of the nature of their work and relationships in order to anticipate their needs. The day to day role is as follows but is not limited to:
Job Description:
· Accounts receivable maintenance: write up deposits, process and post all receipts, help with weekly AR reports, update cash chequebooks daily.
· Accounts payable maintenance: code and post all payables, cheque requisitions, process cheque runs, mail cheques, reconciliation of vendor statements.
· Perform related clerical duties, such as maintaining filing and record systems.
Education requirements:
· Post-secondary diploma or certificate in accounting/business administration
Experience required:
· Minimum 1 year in a similar function
· Basic accounting skills
· Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office
· Working knowledge of Yardi Property Management Software would be considered an asset
· Superior organizational skills, ability to multi-task with an eye for detail
· Strong interpersonal communication skills, displaying initiative and problem solving abilities
· Personable, pleasant demeanor
