Director of Manufacturing – Summary
The Director of Manufacturing, reporting to the VP of Operations, is responsible for leading the daily manufacturing operations and ensuring production, quality, safety, and delivery targets are met. This role provides leadership to manufacturing teams, drives operational efficiency, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and helps implement long-term growth strategies, including automation, process optimization, and capital investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production, quality, safety, and delivery goals are achieved.
- Improve workflow, equipment utilization, plant layout, and operational processes using lean and 5S principles.
- Support long-term operational planning, expansion efforts, and implementation of new technologies.
- Develop and manage budgets, track KPIs, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Lead recruitment, training, team development, and performance management for manufacturing staff.
- Provide regular production and progress updates to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 10+ years of manufacturing/industrial management experience.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, office furniture manufacturing, lean practices, and ISO 9001 requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
- Strong ability to analyze processes, improve efficiency, manage budgets, and support company growth initiatives.
Pay: $130,000.00-$132,000.00 per year
