Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled General Light Duty Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repair, electrical systems, and the use of various hand and power tools. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining light farm machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on light-duty farm machinery and equipment
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs as needed
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs
- Support sales efforts by providing technical expertise during client consultations when necessary
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on light-duty farm machinery
- Knowledge of welding techniques and electrical systems
- Mechanical knowledge of various farm machinery components and systems
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and schematics for troubleshooting and repairs
- Customer service experience is desirable to effectively communicate with clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Prior experience working with farm or industrial equipment will be advantageous
Pay: $23.56-$48.60 per hour
