Overview
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and detail-oriented Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, managing customer orders efficiently, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, along with strong time management and multitasking skills. The successful candidate will be an essential part of our team, contributing to the overall guest satisfaction and operational success of our establishment.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately according to standard recipes and customer preferences
- Use POS systems such as Micros POS for order entry and billing
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and providing recommendations
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and food handling standards
- Restock bar supplies as needed and ensure all equipment is functioning properly
- Monitor guest consumption to promote responsible drinking and adhere to alcohol service regulations
- Assist in setting up the bar for events or busy periods, ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred; hospitality experience is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and serving guests effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing tabs accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and composure
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Must be at least 21 years old (if applicable based on local alcohol regulations)
