The Career Foundation is seeking a Landscape Laborer on behalf of one of our employer partners.
Responsibilities
Duties include but not limited to:
- Load and unload structure materials and move materials in work areas
- Maintain and plant gardens/ Plant and take care of aggregates
- Operate machinery for instance mowers or material breakers
- Maintain tools and equipment
- Construct scaffolding
- Clean up work sites
- Shift equipment and materials
- Transfer and finish concrete
- Mix, transfer and extend materials
- Help in drilling and blasting; plane earth using rakes and shovels
- Remove debris and trash at construction sites using wheelbarrows
- Perform other duties as assigned by foreman/supervisor.
Skills & Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in landscape and/or construction.
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Steel-toed safety boots required
- Working cellphone required for communication on job sites
- Valid driver’s license is an asset
- Spanish language is an asset
Pay: $20.00 per hour
