We are looking to fill a full-time off-site position servicing one of our clients. Work location is Finch and Dufferin. Monday to Friday day time availability is required. Strong English communication and customer service skills are an asset.
Responsibilities
- Report to Lead Chef
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
- Work with team to ensure the best quality of meals are produced
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Check quality of ingredients
- Interact with customers and clients in a friendly manner
- Operate Point of Sale systems accurately
- Manage inventory of goods - communicate with Lead Chef to ensure proper product ordering and rotation
- Maintain cleanliness of dining room by sanitizing tables and removing garbage
- Prepare short order food items and serve meals to clients.
Requirements
- Proven experience as cook, 3+ years
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
- Ability to work well in a team, and also to take responsibility for the team's work
- Very good communication skills
- Excellent physical condition and stamina
- Diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage
- Valid G Driver's License preferred
- Able to work weekends and evenings
Work Remotely
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
