Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address specific client needs.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to develop customized treatment plans that align with individual health goals.
- Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to ensure safe and effective treatments.
- Educate clients on post-treatment care, pain management strategies, and occupational health practices to enhance their recovery process.
- Maintain detailed records of patient progress, treatment details, and session notes in compliance with healthcare standards.
- Provide exceptional patient service by creating a welcoming environment, listening attentively, and addressing client concerns with professionalism.
- Stay current with industry best practices and participate in ongoing training related to med spa services and advanced massage techniques.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Registered Massage Therapist, preferably with med spa or occupational health background.
- Strong knowledge of patient assessment methods and the ability to tailor treatments accordingly.
- Hands-on experience with deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques.
- Familiarity with physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy practice.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building trusting relationships with clients.
- Prior work in a med spa or similar environment is highly desirable for this role.
