CSA Transportation is currently looking to add a Junior Dispatcher to join our Calgary terminal.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Understanding the importance of priority planning.
- Clear and concise communication with city drivers and warehouse staff.
- Clear and concise communication with various internal departments (Customer Service, etc)
- Update orders as necessary to ensure accurate tracing of shipments.
- Following up to customer inquiries/ troubleshooting orders.
- Multi- tasking is essential.
- Possess basic knowledge of trailer weight capacities
- Reporting/ documenting any/all damages, OSD.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Truck-mate knowledge is an asset
- Basic computer skills (common programs used: word, outlook, Microsoft teams).
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining composure.
- Excellent communication (written & verbal), organizational, interpersonal, problem solving skills (conflict resolution).
- Demonstrates an understanding of Logistics and Transportation notably LTL (cross dock experience an asset)
- Ability to adapt to ever changing dispatch environment to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Enthusiasm and a dedication to excellence.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum education, High School Diploma or equivalent.
