The Senior Sourcing Specialist reports to the Director Strategic Sourcing and is responsible for supporting multiple business units across various categories and executing low risk/low complexity procurement activities in the functional areas of Procurement Strategy, Strategic Sourcing and Contract Development.
- The Senior Sourcing Specialist will support Procurement Services and the Strategic Sourcing team, as requested to facilitate sourcing events for low to medium complexity.
Responsibilities:
- Small Deals Desk (SDD) Management

Manage the intake requests assigned to/received by SDD Mailbox through the sourcing intake platform
-
Manage Intake volume, prioritize deals and meet SDD service level expectations
-
Proactively contact requestors from the Business Unit to seek understanding and/or clarification of the SDD request and engage accordingly

Update the deal status of each assignment and pertinent data in the procurement tool on a regular basis, ensuring accuracy and completeness

Contract Development & Management

Leads the drafting, negotiating, and finalizing of contracts assigned to the Small Deals Desk by utilizing the appropriate Legal-approved contract template

Support the Strategic Sourcing Manager and/or Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager on drafting, negotiating, and finalizing contracts based on the sourcing event outcomes on medium to high complexity deals respectively

Provide necessary documentation requested from internal and external stakeholders

Cross-Category Intelligence

Perform market research and spend analysis to support the Business Unit and /or Strategic Sourcing team

Quickly pivot between different types of sourcing requests applying standard sourcing methodologies to diverse business requirements

Strategic Sourcing

Support the Strategic Sourcing Manager and/or Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager as requested on medium to high complexity dollar deals with document preparation and sourcing activities in the RFx / competitive bid process
Requirements:
Experience:
-
1-3 years of experience in an analytical, relationship management role and/or financial services
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field
- Knowledge of service contract terms
-
Working knowledge of the RFx competitive bidding process and in negotiating and managing low dollar value, low complexity supplier initiatives
-
Working knowledge on developing and interpreting spend and market analysis
- Ability to influence and manage senior stakeholders using negotiation, facilitation, and mediation skills
- Experience working in procurement tools, such as Ivalua or SAP Ariba.

Expert knowledge in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Must be comfortable working in an evolving, fast-paced, high-volume environment with constantly shifting priorities and multiple concurrent deadlines.
Preferred:

1-3 years of experience in an analytical and/or relationship management role in a procurement, sourcing, or category management function

Experience using data visualization tools, such as Power BI
-
Experience reviewing common supplier contracts (i.e. NDA, speaking engagements, simple service agreements)
The expected annual base salary range for this role is $62,500 - $75,500, which is determined based on skills, knowledge and experience and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual short-term incentive, health and well-being benefits, retirement and savings plan, paid time off and career development.
