Duties
- Assist licensed mechanics with repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance of heavy machinery, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm equipment
- Prepare work areas by cleaning, organizing tools, and gathering necessary parts and supplies for repair tasks
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics to support mechanical repairs and assembly processes
- Perform heavy lifting and assist with the movement of industrial equipment using appropriate safety procedures
- Support the inspection of machinery for wear and tear, ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational guidelines
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities for documentation purposes
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or other industrial machinery under supervision when required
Skills
- Prior experience in dealership settings or with heavy equipment is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including HVAC, electrical components, and automotive repair
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics reading, and basic welding techniques
- Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or other industrial equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a physically demanding environment
- Familiarity with maintenance procedures for farm machinery or construction equipment
- Excellent customer service skills to support team collaboration and client interactions when needed
Pay: $35,360.00-$47,840.00 per year
