We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Assistant/Cashier to join our retail team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and sales processing
- Conduct product demos and provide information on merchandise, especially in technology sales
- Upsell products and promote special offers to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customer attention
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Manage cash register operations including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
- Ensure the checkout area remains clean, organized, and welcoming
- Support team members in achieving sales goals through effective communication and collaboration
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Prior experience in retail sales, cashiering, or merchandising preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems and basic math skills for transactions
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle inquiries politely and efficiently
- Ability to perform product demos and explain technical features clearly
- Organizational skills to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products and promote sales initiatives
- Good phone etiquette for handling remote customer interactions
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings if required
- Previous experience in technology sales or familiarity with technical products is advantageous
